Renegades Statement On Sharks Away Game

posted by: Chef -- Tue, 03 Jun 2008

It is with regret that the Reading Renegades announce the forfeiture of their away game at Cornish Sharks, scheduled for this Saturday, 7th June 2008.

A recent spate of injuries has seen the Renegades roster reduce temporarily in both size, depth and strength.

Management and coaches made the hard decision following consultation with the playing members of the club, with the primary concern being the potential for injury to players lining up out of their usual position and playing the majority of the game with little rest, especially against a team as strong as the Sharks.

The Renegades hope that the postponement of this match will allow the injured players to heal, and provide sufficient training time to prepare players to confidently shift position in future games, if necessary.

The Renegades thank the Sharks and the League for their understanding in this matter.

Renegades Hit The Road

posted by: Chef -- Fri, 30 May 2008

After a shakey start to the 2008 season the 1-2 Renegades hit the road for two long road trips to the West Country to fight back some pride and much needed Wins to keep their playoff hopes alive.

This fortnight sees the Renegades travel to Plymouth to face off against the 0-2 Admirals on Sunday 1st June. Followed by a trip further South-West to Newquay for a return match to the also 1-2 Cornish Sharks on Saturday 7th June.

If there ever was a great fortnight of football its definitely with the Renegades.
