This week sees the start of the Reading Renegades preparation for the 2008 season.
The first classroom session of the campaign will be held on Wednesday 5th December, at St Patrick’s Hall dining room (http://www.info.rdg.ac.uk/maps/maps-display.asp - square 2D), beginning promptly at 19:45. Coach De Monte and his co ordinators will be introducing the team to the Renegades football plan for 2008. Please bring pen and paper to make notes.
The first outdoor practice will be held on Sunday 9th December at the Royal County of Berkshire Sports & Social Club (http://www.renegadesafc.com/findus.php). Players must be ready to begin warm-ups at 10am sharp. Please ensure you bring all your kit with you (including studded footwear), as you will not be able to participate in contact drills without it. The Renegades Kit Managers will also be inspecting all kit to ensure that it meets the necessary safety standards. Please also bring your own supply of water, as this will not be provided at this practice.

The Reading Renegades welcomed 25 new squad members to a fine and sunny Rookie Day on Sunday 4th November at club's home ground.
The day started with an introduction by Head Coach Phil De Monte regarding the format of the morning, then the new players went to warm up drills, agility and speed drills before working with Coaches and Senior players on the positional aspects of the game.The enthuiasm and effort of all the new players was appreciated by the Coaches and Senior players.
Fully kitted training begins on December 9th 2007 at 10.00am and new players unable to make today's training are welcome to try out for the team at this session.
On Sunday 4th Novmeber the Reading Renegades preparation for the 2008 season gets under way as they host their annual Recruitment Day at the Royal Berkshire Sports & Social Club.
Players new to the sport, or to the Renegades, are welcome to come down to meet the Coaching Staff and Managment, and participate in an introductory training session.
Registration starts at 0930, with training running from 1000 to 1300. Hot showers, food and drinks will be available afterwards. Please bring with you studded footwear, clothing suitable for outdoor training, and plenty of water.
