After many years on a field at the Royal County of Berkshire Sports and Social Club in Sonning, the Renegades are moving home to Palmer Park Stadium for the 2010 season and beyond.

Over the most productive season in Renegades history, the team has effectively increased their fan base and want to build on that success with a better fan experience. The Renegades Management believe moving to a stadium will allow greater growth and exposure of both the team and the sport of American Football in general.
Palmer Park stadium is located in the heart of Reading, easily accessible from the M4 motorway and by public transport (so Renegades fans can be kind to the environment whilst supporting the team). With discussions under way with Reading Superstars Cheerleaders and a local marching band, the stadium setting will provide an excellent game day experience for all, both on and off the field.
General Manager, Oliver Raffle comments, "The successes of our organisation is noticed by the local council and the community here in Reading; and to honour that support, it made sense to rehouse our organisation to a stadium facility."
The organisation hopes this will attract a greater fan base at home games for both Senior and Youth teams, as well as increase the potential for sponsorship for local businesses.
The Berkshire Renegades are pleased to announce their annual Rookie Day.
The Rookie Day is an opportunity for players with little or no experience to come and get a taste of American Football - one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. An American Football team requires players of all shapes and sizes, so we are keen to meet you whatever your physique. Coaches from the Renegades will take you through a series of Football exercises before giving you the chance to try your hand at any of the varied positions on a Football team.
The Rookie Day is being held at Palmer Park in east Reading, on Sunday, November 8th. For directions see here. The session will start promptly at 12pm for the youth team (age 16+) and 1pm for the senior team (age 18+). You should wear clothing appropriate for playing sport outdoors in winter. Please also bring football or rugby boots and a bottle of water. Email info@renegadesafc.com if you have any further questions.

The Renegades Youth showcased their skills on Sunday 30th August in a controlled scrimmage against the Hampshire Thrashers youth team.

The youth guys showed their poise and professionalism by notching four touchdowns over the course of the day and holding the Thrashers youth to just one.
Paul Gordon, Youth Team Head Coach commented, "The guys played really well today and all their hard work over the past year have paid off. We've got a good core of players, which we're looking to expand upon for future seasons."
One thing is for certain, the future is looking promising for the Renegades Youth.

In the final game of the 2009 season, the Renegades travel away to Hampshire Thrashers this Sunday 16th August, where they will be aiming to avenge their 40-nil home loss two weeks ago.
